Amateur Radio

Amateur Radio, or ham radio as it is better known, is a hobby I never intended to participate in, but my husband did. My husband started studying around 1977. There’s (well, there was) a great deal of study required to obtain an Amateur Radio license from the Federal Communications Commission. While studying for his license, I acted as a coach, asking him questions to test his knowledge. During this process, my husband connected with a physician after suffering a small hernia. After the operation and several follow-up visits, my husband’s doctor administered my Novice license exam, and, to my surprise, I passed!

Following are some pages containing images of various events I’ve enjoyed participating in the hobby for many years now.
